The Voltage Control Guard (VCG), an Energy Management Device, is a low cost, easy to install product that provides a reliable reduction in electrical power bills by reducing consumption. The VCG unit actually recycles and reuses energy that would otherwise be wasted. VCG units also stabilize, purify, and filter the electric power delivered to your appliances and equipment.
Over 1000 VCG units have been installed in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Our customers report savings that range from:
1. The VCG unit attaches to each of your electrical panels, connecting to the neutral bus bar and safety ground.
Once installed, the VCG unit immediately begins working. The VCG unit does not draw power and there are no lights, switches, capacitors, resistors, circuit boards or other electronic components to wear out.
2. As appliances and equipment are turned on, the demand for more current induces current from other equipment, and excess electricity flows back to the neutral side of the electrical panel.
3. With the VCG installed, excess current from the neutral does not return to your equipment, decreasing the demand for unneeded power. The VCG unit “cleans” the neutral side, reusing and recycling energy that would otherwise be wasted.
Installation by a certified GiG2 installer is required for residential applications. For commercial applications, installation by a certified GiG2 installer, or your electrician (supervised by a certified GiG2 installer) is required. Optimal installation ensures that the proper amount of neutral current is flowing through the VCG.
Once properly installed, the VCG has no impact on total harmonic distortion and will not affect the system power factor.
